Methane Reduction Project in veal calf sector

Project objective

This project aims to significantly reduce methane emissions from veal calves rearing, focusing on inhibiting rumen methanogenesis through the inclusion of VITa HERBS in feed. This scientifically proven nutritional strategy reduces the environmental impact of ruminants in accordance with international carbon certification standards.

The project will be certified according to the Verra Verified Carbon Standard 5550 and carbon credits will be issued for reductions or removals of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the production of veal calves.
